Are you having trouble importing from BrokerConnect?
We are currently experiencing two known issues with Schwab BrokerConnect:
1) incidents of random missing trades, and
2) those who cannot link their accounts at all.
We are working with our vendor and Schwab to rectify this, but the timeframe on resolution is unknown. We strongly recommend using CSV import until this is fixed.
- Make sure you have first linked your account with SnapTrade. Follow our instructions here: Linking Your Account with SnapTrade.
(TIP: If your accounts are all named the same with Schwab, then they will appear with those same names in TradeLog after linking. You may want to add an identifying factor to the account name, so you can differentiate it in TradeLog if you have multiple accounts. To do so, follow these instructions from Schwab to rename your accounts PRIOR to linking them with SnapTrade: How to Rename an Account.)
- Select the Account tab at the top, and click the Broker Connect button.
- Select a date range, or click one of the radio buttons as seen below. There will be different selections per broker. Note, TradeLog will automatically select the From and To date based on your range selection, you can change the From and To date manually as well.
For some brokers there will be a 90 day limit per import. If necessary, repeat steps 1 through 3 until all data has been imported.
NOTE: You will not be able to import the last 2 calendar days when using BrokerConnect. This is a limitation imposed by the broker, not TradeLog. The broker needs time for settlement and submission of the data to our data aggregator.
- Click OK to initiate the import. Your trades will be automatically imported and matched.
