The IRS Form 8949 for Securities report generates an IRS-ready report of realized capital gains and losses from securities transactions recorded in TradeLog for filing with your Schedule D.
TradeLog provides separate Form 8949 reports for Securities and Digital Assets. Digital asset transactions identified using the DCY-__ Type/Multiplier designation are excluded from this report and are reported separately using the Form 8949 for Digital Assets report.
Please note: All tax year reporting will show a DRAFT watermark until you have completed the End Tax Year process on the TradeLog file. Final tax reporting should always be generated after the End Tax Year process has been completed.

Important Information About Schedule D
The Schedule D totals shown on the Summary Schedule D Instructions Page represent only the securities transactions reported on your TradeLog Form 8949 for Securities.
If you also have digital asset transactions, you may need to combine these amounts with totals from your TradeLog Form 8949 for Digital Assets. You may also have other capital gains or losses from additional tax forms or sources that must be included when completing Schedule D.
Reporting Digital Assets
TradeLog provides a separate Form 8949 for Digital Assets report for transactions identified using the DCY-__ Type/Multiplier designation.
These transactions are excluded from the Form 8949 for Securities report. Likewise, securities transactions are excluded from the Digital Assets report.
If you have both securities and digital asset transactions, generate the appropriate Form 8949 report for each. The totals from both reports, along with any other applicable capital gains and losses, must be considered when completing your Schedule D.
