Note: Transferring open position is effortless in multi-account data files. Additional manual editing is necessary if users choose to only use single-account data files.
To transfer all open positions into a new account in a multi-account data file.

Import transaction history from the account that is closing to the date of the transfer.

Click Accounts, Transfer Open Positions
-or-
if you are in the Open Positions window, click the Transfer Open Positions button on the toolbar.

A warning dialog will appear asking, "Are you sure you want to transfer open positions?" Click Yes to proceed or No to cancel.

An additional box will prompt you to Create New Account or Select Existing Account.

Select the Create New Account radio button.

The Account Setup box will popup. Enter your new account information in all required fields and click OK.
TradeLog will now add a tab in the main grid containing your new account and transferred open positions.
To transfer all open positions into an existing account in a multi-account data file.

Create a new multi-account file (Creating a new file) or open an existing multi-account file within TradeLog.
Note: all accounts should be created in TradeLog before transferring all open positions from one account into an existing account.

Choose the Select Existing Account radio button, if not already selected.

In the provided list, select the account you want to transfer open positions to and click OK.

Tradelog will now add your open position to the new account chosen, and prompt to "Save your records?" Click Yes to proceed or No to cancel.
