Electronic Filing (e-File)

Electronic filing is the fastest way to file your taxes. There are three options to choose from. However, for most traders, we strongly recommend the easiest method, which is: electronically filing using Form 8453. This method can be used with TurboTax® or TaxACT® as well as many other popular software solutions.

We strongly recommend the Form 8453 method because our users have found that method to be the easiest and most accurate. We provide limited instructions for e-file methods that involve importing TradeLog data into other software programs. If you wish to use other methods you may need to consult the documentation for those other software programs for detailed instructions.
