For several months we’ve been working to resolve different issues with our BrokerConnect import methods for Charles Schwab, E*TRADE, Fidelity, and TradeStation. There have been various challenges, some outside of our control. For example, some brokers put “holds” on any development updates during periods of market volatility (which have been frequent in recent months).
While we maintain alternate import methods for all these brokers, we recognize you prefer BrokerConnect, and these issues cause you inconvenience. We’ve taken a hard look at our approach to provide the best long-term solutions.
Therefore, we recently changed direction and are working with a single data partner to provide a consistent and secure BrokerConnect API for our current brokers – as well as many more. This is the primary focus of our development team and we expect to begin releasing this availability over the next several weeks.
Because this is a major change to our BrokerConnect, we’ll be doing a soft release for qualified users to verify it works in real-life accounts. If you’re interested in receiving an early release, you can click here to register.
